Well, some seeds have arrived and some on order – all hopefully contributing to my harvest of dye plants. Mostly annuals to fit in with the timescales … The plan is to get them all in seed trays, then half to Rhosygilwen for John to raise and I’ll keep half as a back up ‘just in case’ – better safe than sorry! There are also a couple of plants I hope to get hold of and I have a plan to dig up some of my gunnera root to see if I can get a good black dye from that.Being of cautious mind, I’m also buying seed from a variety of places with the theory that this will maximise my chances of growing a successful dye crop – we shall see!
